Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Should I work with a contractor instead?

It is indeed cheaper to directly engage a contractor that do not provide design & project management. However, there are also contractors that claim to be interior designers and “waive” off design fees, but may translate into higher costs because it does not meet your expectations, or having to fix damaged materials and installations... you heard enough horror stories.

2. How is the billing handled?

Our payment process starts from a 10% deposit → 45% when renovations start → 40% carpentry fittings → 5% upon completion .

3. Will there be any delays?

We work closely with our professional contractors and suppliers, and we go on-site to supervise the renovations from start to finish to ensure that everything is going as per our project management schedule. We make sure that you will receive your dream home in time.

4. My apartment is quite small, should I still engage you?

This is definitely not a problem! We specialize in making spaces work great for your property regardless of size, through innovative fixtures. Whether it be full hacking, walk-in wardrobes or other ideas, we have our ways!

5. What's your design style and how much will it cost?

Scandinavian, contemporary, and Nordic designs are some of our favorites. However, we have no issues tailoring to your needs and coming out with new styles.

Our rates are highly competitive and transparent compared to others in the market. Renovations can cost anywhere from $20k onwards depending on the extent of hacking and the size of your flat. 

6. Should I still engage you if I already have a design in mind?

A renovation project will only be successful and reliable if there is good project management. Besides design, AP Concept also provides high quality and cost-effective workmanship. Engaging unknown contractors might end up more expensive if problems incur after renovations.
